Arrest warrants have been requested for a Jefferson man and woman facing felony drug charges.
Jefferson Police Chief Mark Clouse says 26 year-old Tyson James Ruth and 35 year-old Joey Ann Godwin are both charged with Class B Felonies for possession of methamphetamine, of at least five grams, with intent to deliver and misdemeanors for possession of drug paraphernalia and fifth degree theft.
The charges stem from an executed search warrant on January 30th in the 200 block of East Perry Street. Clouse says they received a call about construction tools being stolen from a trailer at Cedar and Perry streets. An officer followed the footprints in the snow from the trailer to the suspected residence. When the search warrant was executed, officers didn’t find the alleged stolen tools, but they recovered suspected drug items and a stolen debit card from another alleged burglary. Lab results came back with 12.58 grams of meth.
Clouse notes that the individuals are also facing warrants from the Greene County Sheriff’s office.
