Guthrie County State Bank’s new branch at the intersection of Highways 25 and 44 in Guthrie Center is scheduled to open Monday.

The new facility features a drive-through lane, drive-up ATM machine, large meeting room and weather-resistant concrete walls.

The City of Guthrie Center and Guthrie Center Municipal Utilities split the $300,000 cost of the bank’s current location at 400 State Street in late 2014 for the purpose of it serving as City Hall, and will begin the process of transferring government offices there once the bank has moved out.

The City Council is expected to hold a public hearing Monday evening to finalize the sale of the current City Hall at 102 North First Street to Ken Laughery for his bid of $43,500.
