Today officially marks less than one week away from the start of the 2016 baseball season for ADM high school.

Each new season offers teams to clear the slate and start off fresh to face various challenges and obstacles. For the ADM Tiger baseball team, this season will be offering a new and unique set of challenges as the Tigers will be putting practically a whole new team on the field this season. The Tigers are loosing 11 senior starters from last season, leaving a lot of underclassmen to take the field.

Raccoon Valley Radio sat down with ADM head baseball coach Jason Book as he talked about the unique season ahead for his Tiger team.

“This upcoming season will be very unique for us in that we had eleven seniors last year and they pretty much filled all of our starting roles and all of our pitching roles so really we have a brand new team rolling out on the field this year. There’s opportunities for everyone and it’s finding those pieces that go well together to make a good team,” explained coach Books.

The Tigers will have less than one week before they commence their 2016 season on the road against Des Moines Roosevelt.
