The Greene County High School girls’ golf team is enjoying its best season in quite some time and Coach Heath Telleen’s Rams have two regular season matches left before entering Class 4A Regional Tournament play on May 23 at the Carroll Country Club.

The Rams play at the TCI Course vs. North Polk (Alleman) on Thursday, May 12, then go to Winterset on May 16. The Winterset meet was added to the schedule only recently.

Regional play is different this season for the Rams as they move up to Class 4A from 3A, and now play in second largest of the five girls’ golf classes. The top two teams and top five individuals qualify for State competition. Greene County and Carroll High will be joined on May 23 by Bishop Heelan of Sioux City, Creston, Denison-Schleswig, Glenwood, Harlan, LeMars, Lewis Central (Council Bluffs), Sergeant Bluff-Luton, Spencer, and Storm Lake.
