Perry has seen nearly three times as much rain this week as the area usually receives during the entire month of May.
According to the National Weather Service, 2.11 inches has fallen in Perry since May 1st while the normal monthly total is just 0.73 inch.
Meanwhile, Guthrie Center has also exceeded their monthly average already as 1.17 inches of rain has fallen this week, compared to their normal May total of 0.78 inch.
There is a slight chance of storms late Saturday and more rain and storms are likely Sunday night.
