ralph wattsOur state lawmakers are not meeting at the capitol daily anymore now that the session is over but that doesn’t mean the work stops.

District 19 State Representative Ralph Watts says he’ll continue to be in contact with constituents.

“There are always issues where constituents will contact us.  A lot of (lawmakers) don’t look at their email during the interim, they just kind of shut it off.  I have always kept the channels open and I monitor email all the time.  I will try to respond, I don’t always respond to 100 percent but I remain open and of course there’s other meetings that go on during the summer months while we’re all campaigning for reelection.”

Representative Watts does not have a challenger on the ballot for the June primary but Bryce Smith of Adel is campaigning to earn the Democratic party’s nomination for his spot in the state house.
