Stuart Municipal Utilities is making sure all homes in the city are compliant with electrical standards.

Superintendent Doug Christensen says before a home is sold, his department needs to inspect it for National Electric Code (NEC) vertical and horizontal clearances and make sure the meter is accessible, as required by City Code.

He asks that anyone planning to sell their house call 515-523-2195 to schedule a time to complete these inspections.
