greene county historical societyThe State Auditor’s office has released the 2015 Audit Report for Greene County.

According to State Auditor Mary Mosiman, Greene County saw revenues of $18,667,132 for the fiscal year ending on June 30th.  Tax credits from the state totaled $1,365,626, along with forwarded tax revenues of $13,424,845 to the townships, school districts, cities and other taxing bodies in the county.

The expenses for the County for the end of the 2015 fiscal year on June 30th is $10,603,591, which is a 7.6% increase from 2014.  This includes $5,184,332 for roads and transportation, $1,427,739 for public safety and legal services and $1,479,781 for administration.

The county retained $5,242,287 of its revenues to finance its operations which saw an increase of 1.9% from 2014.  Other revenues includes charges for services of $1,355,429; operating grants, contributions and restricted interest of $3,445,608; capital grants, contributions and restricted interest of $30,000; local option sales and services tax of $420,581; unrestricted investment earnings of $11,337 and other general revenues of $208,362.
