Friday, April 29th

A deputy was advised of a semi-tractor being driven in an erratic and careless manner eastbound on Highway 30 near T Avenue. The deputy was out of position and Boone County was advised of the plate and description of the semi.

A deputy checked an abandoned vehicle experiencing a mechanical problem on the Carroll-Greene County line. The vehicle was placed on the 24 hour removal list.

A deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of Jay Street in Churdan to investigate the theft of a push lawn mower.

A deputy was dispatched to the Casey’s General Store in Grand Junction for a reported minor backing accident.

A deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street in Rippey to remove a duck from the residence. The deputy reported the duck to be cooperative.

A deputy was advised of a possible runaway juvenile male from a residence in the 400 block of State Street in Scranton. A short time later the caller advised that the juvenile had returned home and the deputy could disregard.

Two deputies and an Iowa State Patrol Officer were advised of an erratic and careless driver eastbound on Highway 30 approaching Jefferson. The ISP Officer initiated a traffic stop on that vehicle in question and evaluated the driver.

Saturday, April 30th

A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with a domestic call in 900 block of West Lincolnway in Jefferson.

A deputy was advised by the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office of a reported single vehicle rollover accident that was in Greene County just south of 330th Street on D Avenue with no one at the scene. The deputy determined the driver of the pickup to be Matthew Thomas Schoon 26, of Bayard. The accident is under investigation at this time with several charges pending.

A deputy was advised of a burglary and theft of personal property from a rural building site.

A deputy spoke with a resident in the 400 block of North 16th Street in Grand Junction about a domestic civil issue.

A deputy was dispatched to the 1600 block of T Avenue to investigate a burglary and theft of property from a rural building site.

A deputy was advised of two vehicles being driven in a careless and erratic manner in Grand Junction. The two vehicles described were not located by the deputy at that time.

Sunday, May 1st

A deputy was asked by the Perry Police Department to respond to the 2000 block of 295th Street to advise a parent that her  juvenile female daughter was at the Perry Police Department and the mother was needed in Perry.

Greene County Dispatchers were advised by a transport ambulance service of an ambulance with a flat tire in the 1900 block of 220th Street. The deputy responded to the location and assisted with traffic control until the vehicle was repaired.

A deputy was dispatched to the 2300 block of U Avenue to investigate the theft of a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup. The theft is under investigation by the sheriff’s office at this time.

A deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of East Hager Street in Grand Junction to investigate the reported theft of a vehicle. The vehicle was taken without the owner’s permission and the person responsible was located in Fort Dodge.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
