20160426_090724_896The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday morning.

The Board met with Guthrie Center Economic Development Corporation President Dennis Flannery about a party potentially interested in starting up a business at the former Country View Estates location east of Guthrie Center.

Flannery says the potential suitors wish to remain anonymous at this time, but adds they are local, family-oriented, non-industrial and are interested in starting a unique business that brings visitors to the area.

Flannery added that full-disclosure of the interested party will occur when discussions become more serious. The Board is expected to further discuss the subject at future meetings.

Plus, County Engineer Josh Sebern gave an update on the County Road N54, or Frontier Road, repair project. Sebern says work is being done by Manatt’s Incorporated, of Brooklyn, Iowa, and encourages anyone affected by the project to check out Manatt’s Facebook page, which you can find by clicking the link HERE .

The project will hopefully be completed by the Fourth of July.
