Gilbert defeated Greene County 207-219 on Tuesday afternoon in girls’ golf at the Jefferson Community Golf Course in a nine hole make up meet. Medalist was Gilbert’s Katie Jenkins at 45 with Greene County sophomore Rachael Danielson the runner-up at 48. Other Greene County scores counting in the team total were 55 from Katelyn Hagen, 57 from Nicole Rohner, and 59 by Alison Gallagher.

Ram coach Heath Telleen said the loss was a tough one for the girls’ “Gilbert is sitting in first place in the conference average and we really had to be on to top of our game to get them. We hope to bounce back Thursday at Story City. I was happy to not have to count any scores in the 60’s.”
