The first Greene County Medical Center DAISY Award ceremony of the year is next month.

The DAISY Award is given to a nurse that shows extraordinary patient care. The medical center has honored four nurses since they started the program in 2014. The most recent was Acute Nursing Manager Desiree Monaghan.

Nominations can be made by co-workers, patients and their families, caretakers and community members. Forms and submission boxes are available at several locations throughout the medical center.

Nominations must be turned in by April 30th. The next recipient will be announced on Wednesday, May 11th at a special ceremony.
