A Guthrie Center freshman has been performing well with her throws this season. Girls head coach Dave Spratte says Maddie McDermott recently set personal bests in two events. “She tossed the shot put 35’10” and she also had her best discus throw at over 100″ Thursday at West Central Valley, so that was a really good meet for her.”

McDermott and the rest of the Tigerettes compete again this afternoon at Audubon.
