A deputy was dispatched to investigate the burglary to a farm building site in Greene County.
A deputy was dispatched for a reported single vehicle accident on J Avenue near 290th Street. A 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, pulling a dual anhydrous ammonia tank was southbound on J Avenue when the hitch pin failed as the truck began to slow for the stop sign at 290th Street. The ammonia tanks and wagon gear then struck the back of the pickup, causing it to jackknife into the west ditch coming to rest on its side. The pickup is owned by Landus Cooperative and was being driven by Kolan Michael Dolph 22, of Gowrie. Dolph was not injured, but damage to the pickup was reported to be $10,000.
Two deputies, the Jefferson Police Department and Jefferson Fire Department all responded for a possible fuel leak at the Kum & Go Store at 303 North Elm. One of the island fuel pumps was struck by a vehicle and damaged. The vehicle then drove away from the store, but was later located.
A deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of North 17th Street in Grand Junction check the welfare of several barking dogs.
A deputy was asked to pick up a small German shepherd puppy that was running at large in the 400 block of Jefferson Street in Scranton. The dog was transported to the animal shelter in Jefferson.
A deputy checked several vehicles parked along the roadway on 305th Street near the Raccoon River Bridge.
A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with a belligerent patron at the Wild Rose Casino. The male subject was subsequently arrested and transported to the Greene County Law Enforcement Center.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
