A Donkeyball fundraiser to pay for a new fence at Kid Zone’s Adair location and new playground equipment at their Guthrie Center location is being called a huge success.
Prior to the event, organizer Shannon Neff-Muell told Raccoon Valley Radio that they hoped to raise $11,000-$12,000 from the fundraiser. She estimates they raised about $14,000 from sponsorships and ticket sales, though organizers have not yet determined how much of that is profit.
Neff-Muell says the event was great and Kid Zone is looking forward to hosting future community events. “It was a huge success. We’re very pleased with how it turned out.”
An estimated 700 people attended the fundraiser.
