The Greene County School Board will meet tonight.

The Board will hold a work session beginning at 5:15pm. The Board will discuss the social studies department at all grade levels. During a work session, the Board cannot take action on any items.

The regular meeting begins at 6:30pm. Under old business, the Board will consider for approval the bus barn lease agreement with the Greene County Fair Board, the second reading of a revised policy for graduation requirements and a reduction in force for a teacher contract termination.

The board will then consider for approval the 2016-17 abstinence education grant program with New Opportunities, the 2016-17 Area Education Agency purchasing agreement, a bond counsel agreement with Ahlers Cooney PC, the sale of Scranton Telephone stock, the first reading for some board policy revisions and fundraising requests.

There will also be discussion on this summer’s physical plant and equipment levy project list and budget cuts.

Both meetings will be in the conference room of the administrative building in Jefferson.
