A Churdan man will find out his fate in June after pleading guilty to a drunk driving charge.

According to court documents, 77 year-old Don Eugene Wallace pled guilty to a Class D Felony for his third OWI.

The charge stems from January 1st when Wallace left his vehicle in a ditch in the 800 block of N Avenue and tried knocking on the door of a nearby residence. An Iowa State Trooper responded and arrested Wallace. In a plea agreement, Wallace is asking to have all but 30 days of his five-year prison sentence suspended with time already served in an inpatient treatment facility. He is also asking for probation and will pay any surcharges and court costs.

His sentencing date is scheduled for June 10th.
