Panora P.E.T.S’ biggest fundraiser of the year takes place this month.
Volunteer Linda Shelley says the annual Furball event plays a large part in keeping the animal shelter’s doors open. “All the proceeds go to care for the animals and run the shelter. We’re a very small shelter and we run entirely on volunteers. It costs a lot for veterinary care and supplies. This is our big fundraiser to help us care for all of these animals.”
The event takes place April 23rd at 5 p.m. at Clover Ridge Resort and includes a cocktail hour, dinner and live and silent auctions. Tickets can be purchased online for $30, or a table of eight is $225, by clicking the link here: https://ww04.elbowspace.com/secure/20140122083332076644 .
Shelley will tell us more about the event today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
