Although first and second graders at Panorama Elementary School have only been students for a couple of years, they are already preparing for their professional careers.

Guidance Counselor Shawn Wharton says students are using April to explore different jobs through the ‘I Have a Plan Iowa’ initiative, which provides an audio recording describing numerous types of jobs.

Additionally, students will research the education they will need for selected jobs and analyze projected salaries and the future job outlook.
