The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
At the meeting, payroll change notices for the veterans affairs, conservation and sheriff’s office.
Three vehicle purchase requests for the sheriff’s office were then approved. Two are 2016 Dodge Chargers and the third is a Ford Interceptor. All three vehicles are in the sheriff’s budget and scheduled for replacement.
The Board then approved a renewal of the IAm Responding subscription agreement for the Emergency Medical Services department as presented. Director Mike Thomason says they’re pleased with this service and it’s as reliable as an electronic system can be expected to be.
Three Managed Care Operators provider agreements for the EMS department were then approved with Amerihealth, Amerigroup, and UnitedHealth.
An operating transfer of $561,987 from the general basic fund to the conservation fund was then approved.
The wetland credit bank was then discussed. The Iowa Department of Transportation’s request for 0.86 acres of wetland credits was approved, as was a request from the City of Waukee for 0.34 acres. Additionally, Center Point Business Park LLC request to reserve four acres of credits was also approved by the Board.
Next the Board approved a contract with ABC Electrical to replace the transfer switch on a generator at the north campus, this comes at a cost of $26,162.
The Supervisors then heard a brief update on the north campus project from architect Jerry Purdy with Design Alliance.
