The ADM boys soccer team has landed a 6-1 record on the season after the Tigers blanketed the Toreadors by the final score of 2-0 Monday night.
Noah Bardwell played goal scorer on the night for ADM as he scored each of the Tigers two goals; the first coming in the 22nd minute of action while the second score game not ten minutes later when a skillful combination of passes from Frank Weiland and Ian Newman found Bardwell an open look for the goal. Drew Gordon had another dominating performance on the night as he earned his third shut out game of the season.
Through the first seven games this season ADM boys head soccer coach Bill Shields likes the 6-1 record and a top five class 2A scoring offense but also recognizes the continual need for improvement. Coach Shields told Raccoon Valley Radio that he looks for his Tiger team to improve upon their offense even further with more explosive offensive combinations.
“Getting combination plays to create (more) opportunities is what we will be working on in practice,” stated coach Shields.
The Tigers will have just one day of practice before they hit the road this Thursday as they square off against a 4-1 Knoxville team who ranks second in class 2A in goals scored with 20. The Tigers and the Panthers will square off at Knoxville high school starting at 7:00 pm.
