It was a very positive day for ADM athletics yesterday as all three active events for the Tigers came away victorious.

It was ADM’s golf teams that kicked off the athletic festivities yesterday in their coed meet in Nevada. Both Tiger golf teams were matched up with the hometown Nevada golf squads along with Ballard high school. As a combined coed score ADM totaled 764 on the afternoon earning them a second place finish. The Nevada squads took first with a combined score of 757 while Ballard took third with a combined score of 835. On the boys side, the Tigers earned a third place finish with a score of 348. Jacob Shumacher was a runner up medalist for the boys with an 18 hole score of 80.

The Lady Tiger golf team took first on the evening with a low total of 416. Nicole Bever was a runner up medalist for ADM after an 18 hole score of 98.

The Lady Tigers will be in action tonight as they welcome in Creston to River Valley golf course for a 4:15 pm meet

Both Tiger Soccer teams ended the day victorious. The girls team took on Carroll in their season opener and put up a dominating performance on rout to a 10-0 win. Six individuals hit the back of the net for ADM/Van Meter including Izzy LaFallete, Jessica Gard, Jordan Hook, Chelsea Bright, along with Sydney Bertman and Allie Cook. Bertman and Cook had big nights with three goals each. Next up for ADM/Van Meter will be their home opener against Des Moines Lincoln at Island Park next Tuesday.

The varsity boys soccer team wrapped up the day as they battled the elements and came away victorious against North Polk by the final tally of 1-0. The lone score for the Tigers came off of a skillful combination of passes from Bryce Goodwin to Andrew Harada who nicely dished the pass off to Noah Bardwell who found the left corner of the net in the 34th minute. The now 3-0 Tigers will take on St. Alberts this evening starting at 8:30 pm at Island Park.
