The Guthrie Center girls track team is preparing for their Thursday afternoon track meet. Although it will be run at Guthrie Center High School, it is technically being hosted by Coon Rapids-Bayard. Head coach Dave Spratte says he’s not so concerned about winning the meet as he is about setting the stage for the rest of the season. “We’ll put some things together on Thursday to get stuff together for the rest of the season and use it develop a training regiment to get kids where they need to be training-wise.”

Thursday’s meet begins at 5 p.m. at Guthrie Center High School.
