The Guthrie Center FFA Chapter will be receiving 200 trees and shrubs which will be given to the public for free.
Advisor Jim Calvert says all four plant types have good fall colors and grow to a variety of sizes. The black cherry tree grows fast to about 55 feet. The pin oak grows at a medium pace to 70 feet. The aroniaberry shrub features edible purple berries and grows to a height of 4-10 feet and the arrowwood viburnum shrub grows to 8-15 feet.
