A one vehicle rollover accident results in one person being injured and heavy vehicle damage.

The Boone and Greene County Sheriff’s offices, Rippey and Perry Fire departments, the Greene and Dallas County Emergency Medical Services and the Iowa State Patrol all responded to the crash at Angus Curve on Iowa Highway 144 at 8:24pm on Saturday.

Boone County Chief Deputy Rick Lampe says Ivan Paz (location unknown), was heading northbound on the highway when he took the curve too fast and he lost control of his 1998 Chevrolet Prizm as it left the roadway, rolled several times into the east ditch, with the vehicle coming to rest on its wheels.

Paz was injured in the accident and transported to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines by Dallas County EMS. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time and the report didn’t include whether or not Paz was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Lampe says possible charges are pending alcohol test results. The vehicle is considered to be a total loss.
