Greene County High School students earn high marks in a couple of competitions last week.
Fourteen students competed in the 25th Annual Iowa Central Business and Culinary Competition Day in Fort Dodge on Wednesday. Faith Hanson won a $500 scholarship to Iowa Central Community College from an essay she wrote and Cassidy Adamson won an iPad after earning first place in the intro to business category. There were over 230 students from 18 different high schools involved in the contest.
Nine other students competed in the Iowa Central Community College Health Competition Day. Faith Wiederin took home first place in the patient skills category and Sunny Mobley and Tori Tucker won first place in the internet treasure hunt contest. Along with Widerin, Tucker and Mobley, the other students that participated included Morgan Lansman, Lindsey Paulsen, Emily Most, Hannah McConnell, Courtney Morlan and Izzy Wilson. There were 140 students from ten different high schools competing.
