The Perry Public Library invites all area creative people to join them for a day full of crafting for a good cause next week.
The library’s Relay for Life Team Bookworm is hosting a “Create for Life” event on Saturday, April 16th.
“You can scrapbook, you can quilt, any kind of handwork, or whatever you want to do. Just come and spend the day, we have a good time together, it’s real relaxing. It includes a really good lunch and supper, and we have snacks, and there are door prizes, and we have just a good time.”
That’s Children’s Librarian Suzanne Kestel who says all proceeds go to support the American Cancer Society.
The event takes place at the McCreary Community Building from 9am until 9pm. The cost is $40 per person and registration can be completed by stopping by the library or calling Kestel at 465-3569.
