It will be a busy night for the Perry spring sports season with a number of events planned for tonight. The Perry boys soccer team will kick off the Raccoon River Conference portion of their schedule tonight when they host Winterset at Dewey Field. Perry is 1-2 on the young season after playing 3 games on Saturday. The Perry girls soccer team will raise the curtain on a brand new season tonight when they travel to Madison County for a matchup with the Huskies. Varsity at both locations will start around 7:15.
The Perry track teams will have their 2nd outdoor competition of the year tonight when they head to Gilbert for the Tiger Invitational. The Perry boys placed 2nd last week at the Davis Relays while the Jayettes finished 5th.
The Perry golf teams will also have their season debut tonight when the Bluejays travel to Huxley for a RRC showdown with Ballard while a large Jayette squad will entertain both Ballard and Norwalk at the Perry Golf and Country Club. Tee time is 4:00 at both locations. The Perry boys went 8-2 in duals last year and will be led by Noah Wilkening. Junior Sarah Sweet is anticpated to be the top golfer for a pretty balanced Jayette squad.
