The ADM boys soccer team flexed their muscles last night as they took down the Tigers of Carroll by a rather lopsided score of 7-1. ADM put the pedal to the metal early on and never looked back as all seven of their goals came within the first half of play; three of which came within the first ten minutes of action.
It was a quick strike for the ADM Tigers early on as not three minutes into the action, the Carroll goalkeeper sent Daniel Finnegan sprawling inside the six yard box, the ADM senior made Carroll pay with a score on the resulting penalty. Not two minutes later did ADM’s second leading scorer from last year connect for his second score on a cross from Carter Coppinger to put ADM up by two.
ADM’s third goal of the game came off of a free kick from Noah Bardwell to senior Bryce Goodwin which was deflected to fellow senior John Maher who drove in the goal.
After a lengthy stretch of no scoring, ADM notched their fourth goal of the night in the 24th minute of action off of a penalty kick from Noah Bardwell who enjoyed a multi scoring night after he scored his second goal just one minute later for ADM’s fifth goal of the night. John Maher continued ADM’s scoring parade with a monster game of his own as he rounded out the final two scores for ADM. Maher connected on a goal in the 31st minute with some good footwork for ADM’s sixth goal and earned their seventh off of a nice pass from Ian Newman.
The ADM Tigers will continue on their five game home stand this Thursday as they welcome in North Polk to Island Park with the match set to begin at 5:30 pm.
