The Greene County High School boys’ track and field team goes to Winterset today for its first scored meet of the season. The Rams opened the outdoor campaign on Monday of this week in Jefferson at the Greene County Early Bird Meet, but no team score was kept. There were just five boys teams in Jefferson, but there will be more than double that number today in Winterset for the boys only meet.

The Rams were coming off Spring Break and were missing a couple of varsity individuals on Monday, but still managed to win seven of the 18 events. Senior Max Neese was in on four victories, the maximum in a meet, while senior Daric Whipple was in on three wins and a second place finish.

The competition will be at a higher level today, weather permitting.
