The Republican Party of Greene County has a busy week coming up.

They will host a Spring Rally on Thursday, April 7th with featured speaker Congressman Steve King. The Republican incumbent is seeking his eighth term in Iowa’s 4th District. He serves on the House Judiciary Committee as a member of the constitution and immigration subcommittees.

The event is sponsored by the Central Committee and will be at the Jefferson VFW Post #9599 starting at 7pm with doors to open at 6pm. Then on Saturday, April 9th, nine county delegates will attend the district convention in Fort Dodge. Meyer said about 66 people participated in the county convention in which the nine delegates were selected to take part in the district convention.
