The West Central Valley boys golf tram will open their competitive season tomorrow with a trip to Knoxville. The Wildcats will golf against the host team and Clarke of Osceola. Head coach Jim Leavell says his team has developed a bit of a competitive rivalry with Clarke, since both programs are relatively new. “They’re kind of a beginning group and we’re kind of a beginning group. We battled two or three different times. I think they beat us when we headed down to Clarke in the season opener but then we got them at the end of the season.”

Golfing begins at 4 p.m. Friday at Knoxville.
