A fight Monday morning in Guthrie Center led to the arrest of a man connected to a drug bust at a Guthrie Center residence earlier this month.
According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s office, 46 year old Rick A. Berrigan, of Guthrie Center, was arrested Monday morning shortly after 10 a.m. for fighting in the 300 block of Prairie Street. Berrigan was brought to the county jail on charges of disorderly conduct and witness tampering. While deputies were booking him into the jail, they located a small amount of marijuana on him, leading to additional charges of introduction of contraband into a detention facility and possession of marijuana-1st offense.
On March 11th, authorities executed a search warrant at Berrigan’s residence in the 300 block of Park Avenue, where large amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana were recovered. Berrigan has been additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine-1st offense, possession of marijuana-1st offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released on Tuesday after posting a $500 bond.
