20160322_091916_624The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday.

The Board met with Mental Health Coordinator Diane Jackson and Panora Telco representatives Andy Randol and David Garland to discuss implementing new Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act security policies. Some of the initial ideas presented include requiring employees to use complicated computer login passwords that they are required to change every 90 days. Additionally, employees would no longer be able to share email addresses and would be required to lock their computers if they leave their desk.

Plus, the Supervisors met with County Engineer Josh Sebern to discuss a $.50/hr raise for Road Surface Supervisor Steve Stringham. The Board acknowledged Stringham’s hard-work over the past year but Supervisors Mike Dickson, Tom Rutledge and Everett Grasty noted that they have not seen a major improvement in secondary road grating. The Board voted 4-1 to give Stringham the raise. Dickson was the only ‘nay’ vote.
