Three members of the Sheriff’s office responded to a reported suspicious vehicle at a residence in the 1400 block of 160th Street. The vehicle was not located and the buildings were found to be secure.

Two deputies and an Iowa State Patrol Officer were dispatched to the 400 block of South Main Street in Paton to investigate a reported domestic assault. Charges are pending further investigation by the sheriff’s office.

A deputy spoke with a Greene County resident about his being involved in an online scam that asked him to purchase Wal-Mart green cards and then transfer the money to a given location.

Wednesday, March 23rd

A deputy on routine patrol, located a vehicle parked at the Squirrel Hollow boat launch on Redwood Avenue. The deputy determined that the female driver was in distress and was subsequently transported to the Greene County Medical Center by Greene County EMS for an evaluation.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
