An Ankeny man entered a guilty plea to a charge from a November 2014 incident.
According to court documents 21 year-old Hossein Kolbehdari pled guilty to an amended charge of a serious misdemeanor for possession of marijuana. The charge stems from an executed search warrant on November 3, 2014 at a rental residence in the 300 block of C Avenue. The Greene County Sheriff’s office seized $39,559 in property, drugs and cash. The Department of Natural Resources also seized another $1,840 in illegal wild game.
Kolbehdari was originally charged with felonies for drug and firearm charges, but the charges were changed to one serious misdemeanor charge. The maximum penalty is six months in prison and a $1,000 fine.
Sentence hearing is scheduled for March 14th.
