The Dallas County Republican party will hold their convention next week in Van Meter.
It’s the second step in the caucus convention process, and the local GOP is hoping for a good turnout after record numbers showed up on February 1st.
At the convention, delegates will vote on the Dallas County platform and select 70 delegates and alternates to move on to the District and State GOP conventions later this spring. Various candidates running for office will also be there to speak with attendees.
It takes place at the Veterans Reception Center at 910 Main Street in Van Meter on Saturday, March 12th. Doors open at 7am, the convention starts at 8 and breakfast will be available for purchase.
