Greene County will have five road games on the 2016 high school football schedule including both non-district games. The Iowa High School Athletic Association released complete schedules for all teams late last week and Coach Dean Lansman’s Rams open the season in Carroll on August 26 vs. Kuemper Catholic. Week two has the Rams going to perennial power Harlan to wrap up non-district play, followed by seven weeks of play in Class 3A District 2. This fall is the first season in a few years that only the first and second place teams in each of the seven districts are guaranteed a playoff berth. The other two spots to round out the field of 16 will be determined on an at-large basis.
The 2017 schedule has the same teams on it with the sites reversed. Complete schedules for all high school teams in Iowa can found on the Iowa High School Athletic Association website.
