Three members of the sheriff’s office, the Jefferson Fire Department and Greene County Emergency Medical Services were all dispatched to single vehicle rollover accident that occurred on Quaker Avenue near 250th Street. A 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix being driven by Shellie Lee Leesley 53, of Cooper, was northbound on Quaker Avenue when she lost control of her vehicle. Her car entered the west ditch coming to rest on its top. Leesley was transported to the Greene County Medical Center for further evaluation of minor injuries. Shellie Leesley will be issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Control of her vehicle.
A deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of South 13th Street in Grand Junction to remove an unwanted male subject from the premises. The male was removed without incident.
Two deputies assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with a traffic stop in the 500 block of North Elm Street in Jefferson. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle.
The Sheriff assisted an Iowa State Patrol Officer with the traffic stop of a vehicle on Highway 4 near 150th Street. The male driver was evaluated and allowed to continue.
A deputy was advised by a Churdan resident that his identity was compromised and significant charges were debited to his credit card. He advised that the credit card company has started an investigation.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
