Guthrie Center senior Sam Courtney just finished his third straight season of leading the Tigers in scoring. Though the Tigers won 19 games in Courtney’s freshman year in 2013, they’ve largely been in rebuilding mode ever since. Courtney has been a good, stable contributor in helping the team keep their head above water during those years. He wraps up his career with a solid scoring average of nearly 15 points per game in a season which appears to signal that the program is turning the corner in the journey back to the top of the conference. The Tigers finish the season with a record of 7-15.
