The leading scorer on the Greene County boys’ basketball team was junior Trey Tucker. The guard is a three-year starter who has led the team in scoring each season. In 2015-16, Greene County won 10 games and lost 11 after going 6-15 in 2014-15, and 6-16 in 2013-14.
Tucker scored 364 points this season in 19 games for a 19.15 average. He had 475 points in 21 games for a 22.6 average as a sophomore, and was at 434 points in 22 games as a freshman for a scoring average of 19.7. His career numbers are 1,273 points in 62 games for an average of 20.53 per contest.
He scored above his average nine times this season and the Rams were 7-2 in those games. He equaled a single game career high with a 40 point game vs. Winterset, which he set as a sophomore vs. Gilbert. He one of the very few players in the history of Jefferson-based boys’ basketball to have more than one game in a career of 40 or more points.
