An upcoming whole-grade sharing agreement between the Adair-Casey and Guthrie Center school districts will combine all high school activities. Among them, of course, is varsity boys basketball. Guthrie Center head coach Jake Mohling says he went through a whole-grade sharing agreement as a player and says there will be big changes, but the team should be better for it. “I went through a whole-grade share in 10th grade when my school combined with Sumner. I know what that’s like and it is going to be tough. There’s going to be twice as much competition. You may have been a varsity starter this year and next year you may not be. That’s something that will be handled, but overall for the program, competition is a good thing.”
The whole-grade sharing agreement goes into effect July 1st.
