Adair County has a new District Judge.

Governor Terry Branstad appointed Patrick W. Greenwood as judge to the 5B Judicial District late last week. He replaces the recently retired Judge Sherman Phipps.

Greenwood currently has a private practice in Lamoni and also serves as a Decatur County Magistrate Judge and adjunct faculty member at Graceland University.

In addition to presiding over cases in Adair County as part of his new role, Greenwood will also serve the people of Adams, Clarke, Decatur, Lucas, Ringgold, Taylor, Union and Wayne County.
