100+ People for Perry Meets Tonight

A reminder to those looking to make a difference in the Perry community, the 100+ people for Perry group will hold their first quarterly meeting tonight.

Four times per year, those who have committed to being part of the group will meet with the purpose of funding a worthwhile project in Perry.

Each member’s name will be thrown into a hat, three people will be chosen and have the chance to give a five minute speech about the cause they are representing.  After the three pitches, the group will vote on which one they feel is most deserving.  Members pledge to donate $100 to the nonprofit organization that is chosen that evening.

Organizers say the goal is to show a small group can make a large difference.

The meeting takes place at 7pm at La Poste with doors opening at 6:30.
