The 2015-16 wrestling season was a successful one for several area teams.
Adel DeSoto Minburn’s Zach Johnston is a Class 2A state champion at 160 pounds and Ogden’s Austin Lenz is a Class 1A champion at 182 pounds.
Other area wrestlers placing at the state tournament are Perry’s Gisaveri Niyibizi in 3rd place at 126 pounds, ADM’s Nathan Heath at 285 pounds, ADM’s Hunter Gibson in 4th place at 220 pounds, ADM’s Cole Bennett in 5th place at 182 pounds and Perry’s Kade Van Kirk in 7th place at 133 pounds.
