A new promotion was a huge success for Jefferson Matters: Main Street.

Program Director Peg Raney says the “Who Loves Ya Baby” event was sponsored by their promotions committee in which over 30 people participated in this past Saturday. Ben Franklin/Tech Zone was drawn from a hat as the downtown business where the “economic activists” spent at least $20. Within the hour that the participants were there, they spent over $700.

Then the group went to Uptown Cafe for lunch. All receipts were collected and put into a drawing, which Nancy Teusch won a $25 gift certificate to the Sierra Community Theatre.

Raney would like to thank all those who participated and is looking forward to hosting even more business promotions opportunities like this past weekend’s event in the future.
