Main Street Guthrie Center is making an effort to get more local youth involved in the community.

Director Julie Bailey says eleven students have signed up for the pilot program, which aims to develop Guthrie Center’s next generation of leaders. “It’s really designed to inspire and develop young people in the Guthrie Center area to be more informed about what’s happening in the community. Then they utilize their talents and creativity for the betterment of the community.”

The first group of students in the program are Genevieve Hoover, Makayla Hoing, Jennel Hanson, Tyler Hanson, Mikayla Jackson, Leigan Laughery, Dylan Newbury, Hunter Vasey, Alexa Herbert, Lauryn Embleton and Noah Nelson.
