A Grand Junction man pled guilty in Greene County District Court for a felony for an alleged child abuse incident.

According to court documents, 19 year-old Lance Michael Ross pled guilty to a Class D Felony for lascivious acts with a child. His original charge of a Class C Felony for third degree sexual abuse was amended to the Class D Felony charge.

The charge stems from an investigation that was initiated by the Jefferson Police Department on March 10th after a report of sexual abuse against a 13 year-old was thought to have occurred in Jefferson. Court documents show that the alleged incident happened between February 21 and 28, 2015. Officers discovered that the incident happened in Grand Junction and a search warrant was executed by the Greene County Sheriff’s office.

 A sentence hearing is scheduled for February 29th.
