The Perry City Council took time to review the 2013 comprehensive plan at their meeting this week.
City Administrator Sven Peterson says it’s hard to believe it has been more than two years since the plan was adopted and it’s crazy how much they have accomplished so far.
“Just about every recommendation they had for us to take action on, we’ve done at least something on. And I don’t think there’s a lot of communities out there that can say that.”
Peterson says even the planners the city worked with to complete the plan have stated they’re impressed with progress Perry has made.
“there’s a lot of stuff with infrastructure going on, that was a big part of the plan, also studying housing was part of the comprehensive plan and something that was kind of a call to action on that. So there’s just a lot of great things going on. It’s a very happening time in Perry and I’m very thankful to be part of it.”
February is expected to be a busy month for Perry as several projects will be bid and move forward for completion later this year.
