The Greene County School Board met last night in regular session.
The Board appointed Mike Dennhardt as a director to fill the vacancy of Susan Burkett who moved out of the district.
The Board approved the second and final reading of the revised board policy for activity eligibility and good conduct, with an additional change. The Board added that if a student is found guilty of a serious criminal or felony offense, the student would be ineligible for an additional period of time at the discretion of the superintendent with a minimum of one year of ineligibility.
The Board also approved a $6,500 expense from the physical plant and equipment levy fund to upgrade the network switches at the elementary school, renewed the telecommunications contract with Greene County Medical Center, accepted the 2014-15 audit report and made language changes to some board policies.
The Board also accepted four staff and faculty early retirement applications and resignations with Colleen Guillman, Pam Thomsen, Beth DeMoss and Tony Beger taking advantage of the program.
The Board reviewed the 2016-17 school calendar and there was no formal action on the topic.
